Let There Be Light - The Inspiration

A Genesis carries a cost.

It is easy to focus on the decision, the boldness of stepping forward, but every step of faith requires something to be left behind. There is a surrender that comes with it. A release of control. A willingness to let go without knowing how, or if, it will be restored.

For Gabriel, that cost was community.

What he had in Auckland was not easy to find. It was genuine. People he could pray with, grow with, and walk alongside in faith. Leaving that behind was not just a physical move, it was a spiritual one.

Tauranga did not lack people. He was surrounded by good company. But what he longed for was deeper than that. A community rooted in Christ. People who could encourage one another, pray together, and walk the same path of surrender.

That was the challenge.

And sometimes, this is where faith is tested the most. Not in the decision to begin, but in what follows after. When what you gave up is felt. When what you hoped for has not yet come. When things feel uncertain, and at times, dim.

In these moments, belief becomes a choice.

To trust in who God is. To hold onto His promises. To remain confident in His goodness, even when life does not unfold the way you expected.

Let There Be Light represents this space.

Slender in form, yet carrying the weight of trust. It reflects the quiet endurance required when clarity has not yet arrived. When you continue forward, not because you can see, but because you believe.

Light does not always come all at once.

Sometimes, it begins as a decision to keep going.
