Brethra Returns & Refunds Policy

At Brethra, we stand behind the quality of our rings. This policy applies to customers in New Zealand and Australia.

Change of Mind Returns (30 Days)

We offer a 30-day return policy for change-of-mind purchases. This means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible:

  • Item must be unworn, unused, and in original condition
  • Returned in original packaging
  • Proof of purchase required

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs.

Items returned without approval may not be accepted.

Faulty or Incorrect Items (Your Rights)

Under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (NZ customers) and the Australian Consumer Law (AU customers), you are entitled to a remedy if your item:

  • Is faulty or defective
  • Is not as described
  • Is not of acceptable quality

If the issue is minor, we may offer a repair, replacement, or refund.
If the issue is major, you are entitled to a refund or replacement.

Custom & Engraved Rings (Important)

Because these are made specifically for you, we do not accept returns or exchanges for:

  • Engraved rings
  • Custom-sized or made-to-order rings

Please double-check sizing and engraving details before placing your order.

Ring Size Exchanges

For non-custom rings:

  • Exchanges for a different size are available within 30 days
  • Rings must be unworn and in original condition
  • Customers cover return shipping
  • A resizing or exchange fee may apply

Sale Items & Gift Cards

  • Sale items cannot be returned for change of mind
  • Gift cards are non-refundable

(These do not override your rights under consumer law if an item is faulty.)

Materials & Wear

Our rings are crafted from 925 sterling silver and may be coated in rhodium or gold plating.

  • Natural wear over time (including scratches, fading of plating, or tarnishing) is not considered a fault
  • Proper care will extend the life and finish of your ring

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the outcome.

If approved:

  • Refunds are issued to your original payment method
  • Please allow up to 10 business days for processing
  • Bank processing times may vary
