Frequently asked questions
Can I customise my ring?
Yes. Each ring is made specifically for you. You can select your US ring size, choose an available edition number, and add engraving such as initials or a key date where applicable.
Why are rings made to order?
Brethra rings are not mass produced. Each piece is part of a limited run of 50, making it important that every ring is carefully crafted for the person it is intended for.
Making rings to order allows for precise sizing, personalisation, and numbering.
Select pieces numbered 32 to 50 may be available in limited sizes for faster dispatch, while 1 to 31 are typically reserved for more meaningful, custom orders.
How long will my order take?
Estimated total timeframe: 4 to 6 weeks.
Production takes up to 2 weeks, shipping to New Zealand takes 14 to 20 days, and final packaging and delivery can take up to 1 week.
What if I order the wrong size or change my mind?
All customised rings are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.
For pre-made rings, exchanges may be available for another pre-made piece, subject to availability.
Please ensure your size is correct before ordering. All rings use US sizing, which can be confirmed through an online conversion or with a jeweller.
What materials are used and what will I receive?

How do I care for my Brethra piece?
Your piece is crafted from solid sterling silver and finished with rhodium plating to enhance shine and slow tarnishing. To keep it looking its best, keep your ring dry and remove it before showering, swimming, or exercising. Always apply lotions, perfumes, and sprays before putting it on, as chemicals can affect the finish. When not in use, store your piece in a soft pouch or airtight bag, away from moisture and direct sunlight, and keep it separate from other jewelry to avoid scratches.
For cleaning, gently polish with a soft, non-abrasive cloth for regular upkeep. If a deeper clean is needed, use mild soap and warm water, then rinse and dry immediately—never leave it wet. Avoid harsh chemicals or strong silver cleaning solutions, as these can strip the rhodium plating.
While the rhodium layer helps protect your ring, it will naturally wear over time with regular use. This is normal and can be restored through professional re-plating. With proper care, your piece will maintain its shine, durability, and meaning for years to come.
